Hello there, I am Ricardo
I repair and upgrade WordPress and WooCommerce sites: white screens, broken updates, slow loads and PHP version upgrades. I also build Symfony and Vue applications for e-commerce and PIM/DAM teams, and untangle the legacy codebases nobody wants.
When I am not coding, I am probably making a cup of tea, playing a game, or writing about what I have learned on my blog. I am always on the lookout for remote opportunities.
Companies I have worked with
- ContentServ - a PIM/DAM platform with a large legacy PHP codebase: bug fixing, slow query tuning, a migration from SVN to Git and measurably faster, more stable releases.
- PLM - work across industries, including a Prestashop store for a national bank, plus cron scripts that automated data exports people used to do by hand.
- Waynext - agency work with varied clients and a proprietary PHP framework, shipping web projects under tight deadlines.
- Clubefashion - rebuilt a legacy platform on Symfony MVC with Twig templates so features can be added without breaking things.
Featured projects
- Pvc Directo - full-stack developer. Development, design, deployment and email server migration. A reliable, SEO-optimized business site with Google Maps integration and lazy-loaded content.
- Price Crawler & Dashboard - sole developer (Symfony, Panther, EasyAdmin). An automated scraper that tracks competitors' fabric prices, with a dashboard the client uses every day.
- cs2smokes - indie developer (Symfony, Tailwind, EasyAdmin). A fast, content-managed guide platform with video content for CS2 players.
